A worked example
The count depends on the year it starts in, because leap years slip in an extra day. From January 1, 2024, a leap year, 150 days lands on May 30, a Thursday. From January 1, 2023, not a leap year, the same 150 days lands on May 31, a Wednesday, one day later since that span has one fewer day in February.
The 365 day preset button is not always exactly a year later, for the same reason. 365 days from January 1, 2023 lands on January 1, 2024, a full year to the day, but 365 days from January 1, 2024 lands on December 31, 2024, one day short of a year, because that span crosses the leap day, February 29, 2024.

Why the weekday matters
A deadline that lands on a Saturday or Sunday often gets treated differently in practice than one that lands on a weekday, since offices and courts are closed. Knowing the weekday, not just the date, is often the more useful part of the answer when a deadline is involved.
