Resizing by percent vs pixels
Percent shrinks or grows the photo proportionally, useful when you want it smaller without picking an exact number, like 50 percent for a quick thumbnail. Pixels give exact control, which matters for a preset size a website or form specifies.
Avoiding blurry upscaled photos
Making a photo larger than its original pixel size does not add real detail. The same pixels are simply spread over more space and smoothed, which softens edges and can look noticeably blurry above about 150 percent of the original size. The tool warns you whenever a size you choose is larger than the original.

What is the difference between fit and fill?
Fit shrinks the photo to fit inside the box with no cropping, so it may not fill every edge. Fill crops the photo so it covers the whole box exactly, which is what most social media sizes expect.
