Why is my video mirrored?
Mirroring flips the preview left to right, like a mirror, which feels natural for checking your own appearance. Turn off the mirror toggle to see the camera's true, unflipped view.
How do I allow camera access in Chrome or Safari?
Click the camera icon in the address bar, set the site to Allow, and reload the page. On Windows, also check that Settings, Privacy, Camera has app access turned on.
Why is my measured FPS lower than the camera's rated speed?
Low light, USB bandwidth, background load and the browser's own processing can all slow a webcam below its rated frame rate. A well-lit room and a direct USB port usually help.
Why does it say max resolution is not reported?
Not every browser exposes a camera's full capability list. Firefox in particular reports fewer capabilities than Chrome and Edge.
