What is a good CPS score?
Most people click 5 to 7 times per second with a normal click. Above 10 usually means jitter clicking or butterfly clicking, two techniques competitive clickers use to click faster than a finger can move.
What is jitter clicking?
Jitter clicking tenses the arm and vibrates the mouse button with the fingertip, which can push scores past 10 clicks per second. It is tiring and hard to sustain for a full 60 seconds.
What is butterfly clicking?
Butterfly clicking uses two fingers tapping the same button in alternation, which can double a normal click rate. Some games and platforms treat it as an unfair technique and block it.
Why is my score lower on longer tests?
Muscles tire quickly at a fast click rate, so a 1 second burst is almost always higher than a sustained 30 or 60 second average.
Does this work on a touchscreen?
Yes. Tapping the box counts the same as clicking with a mouse.
