How do I know if it is day or night somewhere?
Each card shows Day or Night based on the local hour in that city, so you can tell at a glance whether it is a good time to call.
Does my city list get saved?
Yes, your added cities are saved in this browser, so they are still there next time you visit.
Does it account for daylight saving time?
Yes. Times and UTC offsets update automatically for daylight saving changes in each city.
Can I add my own city if it is not listed?
Search covers major cities in every time zone. Pick the nearest large city, since it shares the same time as smaller nearby towns most of the year.
Are all time zones a whole number of hours apart?
No. Mumbai and Kolkata run 30 minutes off the nearest whole hour at UTC+5:30, and a few places, like parts of Nepal at UTC+5:45, use a 45 minute offset. Both are shown correctly here.
Which cities never change for daylight saving?
Dubai, Tokyo and most cities in South Asia and the Middle East keep the same offset all year. Most of the US, Canada, Europe and Australia shift by an hour twice a year, which this clock accounts for automatically.
Why is this useful for remote work?
Adding your teammates' cities makes it easy to see at a glance who is in their working hours before you message them or schedule a call, without doing time zone math yourself.
