Fairness and expected results
Every side of a die has an equal chance, since this roller draws from your browser's cryptographic random number generator rather than any weighted or repeating pattern.
Over many rolls, a die's average result settles near the middle of its range. A d6 averages 3.5 per roll, a d20 averages 10.5, and a d100 averages 50.5. Short runs of the same or similar numbers are still normal, the average only shows up over dozens of rolls.
Rolling for tabletop games online

Set 2 dice of the same type and roll. For advantage, use the higher of the two numbers shown. For disadvantage, use the lower one. This tool shows both results so you can pick the one the rule calls for.
Why do some d10s show 0 to 9 instead of 1 to 10?
Physical d10 dice are often printed 0 to 9 so two of them can be combined for a percentile roll, with one die as the tens digit. This roller always shows 1 to 10 for a single d10, matching how most digital character sheets expect it.
Can I roll stats for a new character?
Pick d6 and set the count to 4, roll, then drop the lowest of the 4 and add the rest, the common 4d6-drop-lowest method. Repeat 6 times for a full set of ability scores, or check your game's rulebook for its exact method.
