Tiled vs single position
A single position stamp sits in one corner or the center, easy to see but also easy to crop out. Tiling repeats a smaller, low opacity copy across the whole photo at an angle, which is much harder to remove without damaging the image underneath, at the cost of being more visible over the photo itself.
Getting the opacity right
- Around 40 to 60 percent opacity is visible enough to deter reuse without hiding the photo underneath.
- Lower it further, to around 20 to 30 percent, for a tiled watermark, since the repetition makes even a faint mark noticeable.
- A logo watermark with its own transparent background blends more naturally than a text watermark at high opacity.

Will the same watermark apply to every photo in a batch?

Can I remove a watermark I applied?
No. Once applied and downloaded, the watermark is drawn directly into the pixels. Keep an unwatermarked original if you might need it later.
Can I watermark a transparent PNG without covering the visible part?
The watermark draws wherever you position it, including over transparent areas, so pick a corner or spot that only overlaps the visible part of the image if that matters to you.
