Dragging the crop box
A live preview of the page shows a box with four corner handles. Drag a handle to resize the box, or drag inside it to move the whole box without changing its size. The preview updates as you drag, so you can see exactly what will stay in the page.
One page or every page
Apply to "One page" crops a single page you pick by number, leaving every other page full size. Apply to "All pages" uses the same proportional shape, for example trimming 10 percent off every edge, so it still works if the document mixes Letter and A4 pages.
Cropping is not redaction
Cropping sets the page's visible boundary, which is what every normal PDF viewer and printer respects. It does not touch or remove the page content underneath that boundary, so text or images outside the box you drew can still be recovered by anyone who parses the file directly.
If you need to permanently remove sensitive text or images rather than just hide them from view, cropping alone is not enough.

Can I crop just one page?
Yes. Set Apply to "One page" and pick the page number. The rest of the document stays full size.
Does cropping remove the trimmed content permanently?
No. Cropping changes what every normal viewer and printer shows, but it does not erase or redraw the page underneath. The trimmed area is hidden, not deleted from the file's data.
Can I crop every page the same way in one pass?
Yes. Apply to "All pages" uses the same proportional box on every page, so it still lines up sensibly even if the pages are different sizes.
Can I undo the crop and start over?
Click Reset crop to put the box back to its starting size before you save.
Can I use this to black out or redact private information?
No. Because the hidden area is not erased from the file, someone could still recover it with the right tool. Do not use crop for redacting sensitive text or images.
What does the default crop box look like?
It starts with an 8 percent margin trimmed from every edge of the page, which you can drag larger or smaller before applying it.
Will cropping change how the page prints?
Yes. The cropped area becomes the page's new full size, so printing or viewing the file no longer shows anything outside the box you drew.
Can I crop just the top of a page and leave the rest alone?
Yes. Drag only the top handle down and leave the other three edges where they are.
