Three ways to add your signature

Switching tabs keeps your place on the page, so you can try drawing, then switch to typing, without losing where the PDF is scrolled to.
Placing and sizing it
After you pick a signature source, it appears on the page preview as a movable box. Drag it to the right spot, then use the size slider to scale it between about 10 and 70 percent of the page's width. Pick the page number first if the document has more than one page.
Checking "Add today's date" stamps the current date just under the signature in a small plain font, useful for forms that expect a signed date next to the name.
When a signature image is enough
- Signing school forms, permission slips or internal paperwork where a scanned signature is already accepted.
- Adding your signature to something you already agreed to another way, such as by email.
- Filling out and signing a form for your own records, not sending it out for someone else to legally sign.
Contracts, loan paperwork and anything that legally requires a certified signature with an audit trail need a dedicated e-signature service, since this tool places an image of your signature rather than a cryptographic one.

Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF, your signature and the finished file all stay on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
It places an image of your signature onto the page, similar to signing a printout and scanning it. For contracts that require a certified e-signature with an audit trail, use a dedicated e-signature service instead.
Can I sign more than one page?
Each pass signs one page of one file. To add a second signature elsewhere, drop the PDF this tool just gave you back in, pick the other page, and sign again. Starting over from the original file would leave the first signature out.
What if I do not have a stylus or touchscreen?
Type your name instead, or upload a photo of your signature on paper.
Can I add the date next to my signature?
Yes. Check "Add today's date" before signing and it is stamped just below your signature.
What font is used when I type my name?
Your browser draws it in a script font: Segoe Script on Windows, Brush Script MT or Apple Chancery on Mac, or a generic cursive font elsewhere, so it looks handwritten without any drawing.
Can I resize the signature after placing it?
Yes. The size slider scales it from about 10 to 70 percent of the page's width, keeping its own proportions as you adjust it, and you can drag it anywhere on the page before saving.
Is my signature saved for next time?
No. A drawing, typed name or uploaded image only exists for the current visit. Nothing is stored, so you draw, type or upload it again the next time you sign something.
