How to organize a PDF

What you can do in one pass
- Drag any thumbnail to a new spot to reorder pages.
- Rotate an individual page 90 degrees at a time.
- Delete a page by clicking its X, which removes it from the list immediately.
- All three apply together to the same document when you click Save changes.
Reordering with a keyboard
Drag and drop is not the only way to move a page. Focus a thumbnail with the Tab key, then use the arrow keys to move it earlier or later in the document, which works the same on a keyboard-only setup or a screen reader.
Good uses for organizing a PDF
- Putting scanned pages back in order after a stack of paper went through a scanner out of sequence.
- Moving a signature page or table of contents to the front of a combined report.
- Dropping a couple of blank or duplicate pages while also straightening one that scanned in sideways.
- Resequencing chapters after merging several documents into one PDF.

Can I reorder pages with the keyboard?
Yes. Focus a page and use the arrow keys to move it.
Can I rotate and delete pages in the same pass?
Yes. Reordering, rotating and deleting all apply together when you click Save.
Does this work on touchscreens?
Yes. Press and drag a page's handle with your finger the same way you would with a mouse.
Are my pages uploaded while I edit?
No. Everything, including the page previews, is rendered on your own device.
Can I undo a page I deleted by mistake?
Deleting a page here removes it from the working copy right away. Drop the original file back in to start over if you need that page back.
Will printed page numbers on the pages update to match the new order?
No. Only the PDF's own page order changes. Any page numbers printed as part of the page content stay whatever they were.
Can I combine pages from two different PDFs in one order?
Not in this tool. Merge the files first with Merge PDF, then open the combined file here to reorder, rotate or delete pages.
What is the difference between this and Rotate PDF or Delete PDF pages?
Those tools do one job each. Organize PDF combines reordering, rotating and deleting into a single pass, useful when a document needs more than one fix at once.
